All campuses of Sadeeqa’s Learning System (SLS) Montessori & High School marked Pakistan Resolution Day, says a press release.
The day was celebrated through a series of activities and small events which were held throughout the week to enlighten the students about the history of this day. Montessori Section, Gulraiz Campus held a special morning assembly to celebrate this day in which students dressed up in green and white participated with great zeal and zest.
The first performance of the day received a big round of applause from everyone as the students performed on a national song ‘Rahay Salamat Pakistan.’ Dressed up in beautiful regional dresses with traditional jewellery, caps and ‘ajraks’ they represented the provinces of Pakistan along with their heritage and culture. Students of Advanced Montessori who presented speeches in both English and Urdu to pay homage to the leaders who worked hard for the dream of a separate homeland to come true.
Showing their dramatic skills the next performance of the day was a skit which highlighted some eminent personalities who played an important part in the freedom movement. The skit had students dressed up as people from the subcontinent; some were dressed as personnel from the British army while the rest were dressed up as Allama Iqbal, Quaid-e-Azam, Fatima Jinnah and Sir Syed Ahmad Khan. Through the skit the students were enlightened about the role of education and how it brought the people of the subcontinent together.
The last part of the special assembly had the students from different levels who came on the stage and sang their favourite national songs. The special assembly came to an end as Section Head, SLS, Montessori Section Gulraiz, Tanzeela Nadeem appreciated all her students and teachers for being such a lively audience.

Sadeeqa’s Learning System (SLS) Montessori & High School, Islamabad Montessori Branch recently held its graduation ceremony, says a press release.
The ceremony was organised to award certificates and say farewell to the outgoing students of Advanced Montessori. Humaira Hassan, ex-ambassador of Pakistan to Portugal, Spain & Romania, Bushra Halepota who is a humanitarian and has been working with United Nations for the past 25 years and Director Virtual University Sohail Ameer Khan were invited as chief guests to award certificates to the students.
The school ground was decorated according to the theme ‘zoo.’ Carved out of cardboard and old cartons, miniature animals and birds were made by the teachers. A ticket booth was also set where the students welcomed the guests and parents upon their arrival.
The program started with the Montessori Head Directress, Fariha Khalil, welcoming all the guests and shared with them some of the schools achievements in uncovering the potential talent in each child and then developing it through a variety of activities. Based on the theme ‘zoo’ the first presentation was on a poem ‘Brown Bear.’ Dressed up as birds and animals the Montessori students brilliantly performed on the poem in colourful costumes and specially made head gears. The programme continued as one by one the students from each section came on the stage and gave heart-warming farewell speeches.
A short story ‘Three Billy Goats Gruff’ was narrated and acted by some of the students. Acting like goats and the troll under the bridge the students impressed everyone with their acting skills. Next up was an enactment on everyone’s favourite poem ‘Five Little Monkeys.’ After the presentations our little graduates came on the stage to get their certificates. Clad in graduation gown and caps and with big smiles on their faces they looked adorable which made everyone nostalgic in that moment.
The students kept on impressing everyone with their talent through the performances one after the other. The last performance of the day was on an upbeat song. Holding glittery pompoms the toddlers danced and the audience clapped in appreciation.
At the end of the programme principal Islamabad branch Mrs. Khurshid thanked all the parents and the chief guests for coming. She also appreciated the confident and enthusiastic Montessori students and congratulated them on being promoted to Grade 1. The day came to an end as everyone sipped tea in the breezy Saturday afternoon at the ‘zoo café’ which also had specially made snack packs for the Montessori graduates.
A display of Montessori themes was held at Sadeeqa’s Learning System (SLS) Montessori & High School, Hali Road Branch, says a press release.
The building was decorated beautifully with black & red balloons & different related hangings which added to the beauty of the premises. The colorful buntings also reflected the two basic Montessori themes which the students had studied about, “Safety & Clothing.” The themes were displayed in the school ground where display corners were made and the students explained the respective themes and projects one by one.
All the respected parents were invited as guests who attended the wonderful show put up by the little tots of Junior, Senior & Advanced Montessori. The program started with the recitation of Holy Quran. A group of students dressed as Mickey and Minnie welcomed the guests with a splendid performance on an upbeat Mickey Mouse song. Following the welcome song were the mesmerizing performances of our students about the themes.
The theme ‘Clothing’ was displayed first. An impressive fashion walk was held in the beginning. Students looked amazing wearing cultural dresses & jewelry. Their cultural dance representing the provinces received a huge round of applause from the audience. They also portrayed the festive, wedding
and modern clothing of our country. The wonderful performances of the students had the audience under a spell. After the stage performances the guests moved towards the display areas. The first corner showed the types of clothing donned around the world. Students welcomed the guests wearing traditional attires of different countries like India, America, China and Afghanistan.
The second corner was decorated on the same theme and displayed different processes related to clothing like sewing, washing, ironing and dyeing. The students explained all the processes very confidently. Some students acted as tailors and some as laundrymen. Addressing the audience they explained them about their jobs. It was undoubtedly a wonderful sight to behold.
The performances about theme ‘Safety’ were no less. Students dressedas fairies, clowns, & traffic lights mesmerized the viewers with theirperformances and reminded them to be responsible and safe. The trafficpolice men also received admiration for their acting. Fire safety, roadsafety and water safety were displayed in first area where studentsdressed as fire fighters introduced themselves and explained about theirgadgets confidently. A small role play depicted the fire fighters rescuingpeople from a building on fire. They blew out fire using their creativelymade fire truck. Some students enlightened about the precautionarymeasures to stay safe while driving, crossing the road and swimming.Home safety tips were also shared in the other corner decorated askitchen and lounge.
The grand theme display was highly appreciated by Mrs. Asiya Talha, managing director SLS Schools and also by the parents. They admired the efforts of teachers and students on putting together a successful event. The guests also enjoyed food which was served at the stalls arranged inside the school premises and had fun with the children till late.
